The Kumon Method

The Kumon Method was started in 1954 by the late Chairman Toru Kumon after he successfully guided his eldest son, Takeshi to exceptional grades in his second-grade arithmetic studies. The Kumon Method that began with a father’s love for his child is now available in many countries and regions around the world. The first Kumon Centre outside of Japan was set up in New York in 1974. As of March last year, there were 4.23 million subject enrolments in 46 countries and regions.
