Ani Sup Utara has successfully captured the hearts of soup lovers all over the country since the opening of its first restaurant back in 2003. The founder, Hasanuddin has painstakingly laboured in the kitchen to create the famous northern brew. Seven years later, his hard work paid off, as Ani Sup Utara now has more than 32 branches in Klang Valley, Skudai, Ipoh, Kuantan, Kota Bharu and Kubang Kerian. The restaurants are supported by the central kitchen factory lot located in Shah Alam, Malaysia.
True Malaysian Delight
The idea to commercialise the northern brew came about when Hasanuddin and his wife decided to promote his original northern soup as a Malaysian delight. The soup contains 14 herbs and spices, all carefully chosen to promote good health and overall well-being. Ani Sup Utara was born after delighted customers who tried the soup in different restaurants gave their thumbs up.
At the bustling restaurant, customers are spoilt for choice with the variety of soups that caters to everybody’s different taste buds. Customers can choose between noodle-based soup such as bihun, noodles and kuey teow soup and rice-based soups like the soto, the rice set or the chicken rice. The soup also comes with generous chunks of beef or chicken for an authentic taste. The founder is committed to offering the best northern soup in Malaysia. Although soup is the theme of the restaurant, other Malaysian favourites like Nasi Lemak, Nasi Arab, Nasi Ayam Penyet, Tom Yam Sup, Otak-otak, Muffin, Dadih, variety of cakes and pastry food are also included in the menu.
With the encouraging response and feedback from its patrons, Hasanuddin decided to venture abroad and is now planning to enter into other major markets such as South East Asia region, China, Africa and the Middle East.
